And to top it all off, I'm craving chocolate...

This is what I get for listening to God when I woke up at at 4:00 this morning (don't ask). Two really cool analogies popped into my mind, and I've been whittling them away at them today piecemeal in-between grading papers all day long. Before I let them out to play, though, (a) I'm going to let them brew in my noggin for a little while longer, and (b) I'm going to go get a crapload of caffeine to make it through the rest of today:
  • Leadership and love -- what's the connection? (And for those of you who know me and the less-than-complete-love I have for John Maxwell [I respect him, but...eh. Not my cup of tea], you'll find it nothing shy of humorous that I have a leadership story to tell)
  • The modern church system and college Greek systems: separated at birth?

Oh, yeah. This is going to be fun...

Sonny,
1.) I must be a stalker to find you on here!
2.) No, actually I was searching for a cover photo for my portfolio, google'd "ECHD 3010," and it brought up your blog. :)
3.) My dad is an artist, and he painted John Maxwell's family, so we got a lot of free books... including a Bible with commentary by him. I just think it's really funny that I have a Bible that says it's written by John Maxwell.
4.) My blog is worth a grand total of $3.00. Probably because I barely use it. (wegmitmir.blogspot.com). It's not all in English, and not totally coherent. Maybe that has something to do with it.
Later!

my web sit was actualy worth nothing, probaly should post more often, and get more readers, hmmm. but as far as leadership and love, ture leadership is an expresion of true love, loveing something enough to co-sign your life to ther debts, to pore your life and time for the betterment of something else, and in the same way imperfict love (like or lust) seams to parrelel with poor leadership (manipulation, and abusive self intrest)

I know you have a birthday coming up so happy early birthday!
On a different note, I just clicked on your blog for the first time in months and I really can't tell you how great it is to see what a wonderful direction your life has taken in the last 2 or 3 years.
Hope you are having a great birthday week!
